This year, the Community Foundation awarded over $195,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors in South Georgia! We are proud to announce this year’s recipients and wish them the best as they go on to pursue higher education!
The Hosea Hall & Lilly Eason Vann Fund for Thomas County is now accepting applications from nonprofit organizations whose primary office and/or services are located in Thomas County! This will be the fourth annual grant cycle from this fund. A total of $8,500 will be awarded through this program in 2023.

The Community Foundation is excited to announce that all of our scholarship applications can now be accessed through our Online Scholarship Portal! We currently manage over 40 scholarship funds that provide annual scholarship awards to graduating high school seniors in South Georgia and students currently enrolled in a college or university in the United States. The Community Foundation of South Georgia has awarded another annual round of teacher mini-grants through the Community Public Education Fund for the Thomasville City and Thomas County School Systems, the Robert Warde Chambers Public Education Fund for the Brooks County School System and the Grady County Public Education Fund for the Grady County School System. The Community Foundation of South Georgia has awarded the fifth round of annual grants through the South Georgia Legacy Fund to nonprofit organizations located within our 35-county footprint. A total of $30,000 was awarded to 10 local organizations. We are proud to lend support to these amazing charities. Congratulations to our 2022 recipients!

This Fall, the Community Foundation will award grants between $1,000 and $5,000 through the South Georgia Legacy Fund to nonprofit organizations across our service area. An overall total of $30,000 will be awarded in 2022 through this program. Find out more by clicking below.
This year, CFSGA awarded $227,468 in scholarships to students attending 33 South Georgia High Schools. A total of 131 individual scholarships were awarded through 42 of our Scholarship Funds.
