Donor Advised Fund vs. Private Foundation
“The Community Foundation of South Georgia is a great tool for our trust, estate and financial planning practice. The Foundation partners with us to provide the services our clients need through the use of donor advised funds. Clients can control the amounts and timing of gifts to meet their charitable goals. Clients can save current income taxes on future gifts by transferring their appreciated investments to the foundation in one year but evenly distributing their annual donations to their favorite church or other favorite charity over several years.”
