The Community Foundation is now accepting applications for the 7th annual grant cycle of the Hosea Hall & Lilly Eason Vann Fund for Thomas County! Eligible nonprofit organizations whose primary office and/or services are located in Thomas County are invited to apply. Grants between $1,000 and $2,000 will be awarded in August of 2026 to support programs that improve the quality of life in the Thomas County community.

The Community Foundation of South Georgia is proud to announce the recipients of the eighth annual South Georgia Legacy Fund grant cycle. In December 2025, ten organizations were awarded $30,000 in grants to support vital work across our 35-county service area. Click to see the full list of recipients.

Each December, the Community Foundation of South Georgia awards mini-grants to local educators for classroom projects beyond traditional school funding. In December 2025, more than $32,000 was awarded to 42 educators across four school systems. Click to learn more and see this year’s recipients.

The time of year has come again for teachers within the Brooks County, Grady County, Thomas County and Thomasville City School Systems to apply for mini-grants through the Community Foundation’s Public Education Funds. Grants awarded will be used for Spring 2025 classroom projects not covered by school budgets.

The Hosea Hall & Lilly Eason Vann Fund for Thomas County has completed its 6th annual grant cycle. The Community Foundation is pleased to announce it has awarded $10,000 to five organizations in Thomas County this year. Since inception, this Fund has awarded $56,000 to support nonprofit organizations working in Thomas County! Click below to see this year’s recipients.

The Hosea Hall & Lilly Eason Vann Fund for Thomas County is now accepting applications from nonprofit organizations whose primary office and/or services are located in Thomas County!  This will be the sixth annual grant cycle from this fund.  A total of $10,000 will be awarded through this program in 2025.  

Application Deadline: July 15, 2025

This year, we are proud to have awarded 112 scholarships, totaling $402,608, to deserving students from 27 high schools across South Georgia through 41 of our Scholarship Funds. Our scholarships are designed to support students in their pursuit of higher education and to recognize their outstanding achievements both in and out of the classroom. This year’s recipients have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, leadership qualities, and a commitment to community service.  Congratulations to all of the 2025 recipients!
