2025-2026 Public Education Grant Recipients Announced!
Each December, the Community Foundation of South Georgia is proud to support local educators through our Public Education mini-grants. These grants are awarded to teachers employed in the Brooks County, Grady County, Thomas County, and Thomasville City Public School Systems to help fund creative classroom projects that fall outside of normal school budgets.
This fall, we received more than 100 applications from dedicated educators across the four school systems. In December 2025, the Community Foundation awarded just over $32,000 in classroom grants to 42 educators. Since their inception, our Public Education Funds have awarded more than $650,000 in classroom grants—directly impacting students and classrooms throughout our region.
