The Hosea Hall & Lilly Eason Vann Fund for Thomas County has completed its 5th annual grant cycle. The Community Foundation is pleased to announce it has awarded $9,500 to five organizations in Thomas County this year. Since inception, this Fund has awarded $45,000 to support nonprofit organizations working in Thomas County! Click below to see this year’s recipients.
This year, we are proud to have awarded 110 scholarships, totaling $201,410, to deserving students from 28 high schools across South Georgia through 37 of our Scholarship Funds. Our scholarships are designed to support students in their pursuit of higher education and to recognize their outstanding achievements both in and out of the classroom. This year’s recipients have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, leadership qualities, and a commitment to community service. Congratulations to all of the 2024 recipients!
The Community Foundation of South Georgia has awarded the sixth round of annual grants through the South Georgia Legacy Fund to nonprofit organizations located within our 35-county footprint. This Fall, the Community Foundation awarded another round of mini-grants to educators working in the Brooks County, Thomas County and Thomasville City School Systems! Click below to see a listing of this year’s recipients!
The time of year has come again for teachers within the Brooks County, Thomas County and Thomasville City School Systems to apply for mini-grants through the Community Foundation’s Public Education Funds. Grants awarded will be up to $500 to be used for Spring 2024 classroom projects not covered by school budgets.
Deadline to Apply: Friday, November 3rd @ 12pm

This will be the fourth annual grant cycle from this fund. A total of $8,500 will be awarded through this program in 2023.
