The Community Foundation of South Georgia has awarded another annual round of teacher mini-grants through the Community Public Education Fund for the Thomasville City and Thomas County School Systems, the Robert Warde Chambers Public Education Fund for the Brooks County School System and the Grady County Public Education Fund for the Grady County School System. The Community Foundation of South Georgia has awarded the fifth round of annual grants through the South Georgia Legacy Fund to nonprofit organizations located within our 35-county footprint. A total of $30,000 was awarded to 10 local organizations. We are proud to lend support to these amazing charities. Congratulations to our 2022 recipients!

The time of year has come again for teachers within the Brooks, Grady, Thomas County and Thomasville City School Systems to apply for mini-grants through the Community Foundation’s Public Education Funds. Grants awarded will be up to $500 to be used for Spring 2023 classroom projects not covered by school budgets.

This summer, the Hosea Hall and Lilly Eason Vann Fund for Thomas County awarded grants to Thomas County nonprofit organizations. A total of $10,000 was awarded to five Thomas County organizations through this program. Check out the recipients by clicking below!

This Fall, the Community Foundation will award grants between $1,000 and $5,000 through the South Georgia Legacy Fund to nonprofit organizations across our service area.  An overall total of $30,000 will be awarded in 2022 through this program.  Find out more by clicking below.

This year, CFSGA awarded $227,468 in scholarships to students attending 33 South Georgia High Schools.  A total of 131 individual scholarships were awarded through 42 of our Scholarship Funds.  We congratulate all of the recipients who have worked so hard this year! The Hosea Hall & Lilly Eason Vann Fund for Thomas County is now accepting applications from nonprofit organizations whose primary office and/or services are located in Thomas County!  This will be the third annual grant cycle from this fund.  A total of $10,000 will be awarded through this program in 2022.
