This year, we are proud to have awarded 110 scholarships, totaling $201,410, to deserving students from 28 high schools across South Georgia through 37 of our Scholarship Funds. Our scholarships are designed to support students in their pursuit of higher education and to recognize their outstanding achievements both in and out of the classroom. This year’s recipients have demonstrated exceptional academic performance, leadership qualities, and a commitment to community service.  Congratulations to all of the 2024 recipients! 

The Community Foundation of South Georgia has awarded the sixth round of annual grants through the South Georgia Legacy Fund to nonprofit organizations located within our 35-county footprint. A total of $30,000 was awarded to 10 local organizations. We are proud to lend support to these amazing charities. Congratulations to our 2023 recipients!

This Fall, the Community Foundation awarded another round of mini-grants to educators working in the Brooks County, Thomas County and Thomasville City School Systems! Click below to see a listing of this year’s recipients!

The time of year has come again for teachers within the Brooks County, Thomas County and Thomasville City School Systems to apply for mini-grants through the Community Foundation’s Public Education Funds. Grants awarded will be up to $500 to be used for Spring 2024 classroom projects not covered by school budgets.

Deadline to Apply: Friday, November 3rd @ 12pm

This Fall, the Community Foundation will award grants between $1,000 and $5,000 through the South Georgia Legacy Fund to nonprofit organizations across our 35-county service area.  An overall total of $30,000 will be awarded in 2023 through this program.  Find out more by clicking below.

Since 2019, the Vann Fund for Thomas County has been making grants to nonprofit organizations doing important work in Thomas County. We are proud to announce this year’s recipients! Click below for more info.

The Hosea Hall & Lilly Eason Vann Fund for Thomas County is now accepting applications from nonprofit organizations whose primary office and/or services are located in Thomas County!  This will be the fourth annual grant cycle from this fund.  A total of $8,500 will be awarded through this program in 2023.

We currently manage over 40 scholarship funds that provide annual scholarship awards to graduating high school seniors in South Georgia and students currently enrolled in a college or university in the United States.
